As our old friend Brodie used to say, the Welly is truly a ‘sweetie shop’ for beer lovers. With a reputation for keeping and serving naturally carbonated ales in peak condition, we can handpick the finest, frequently getting our hands on exceptional one off specials and hybrid brewery collaborations.
Exclusive House Brews
We have two of our own brands, Wellington American Pale Ale (WAP) and Wellington Original Pale Ale, brewed in collaboration with Downlands Brewery; these beers are based on some of Rob Jones’s award winning recipes.
A Quality Range of Cask & Keg Beers
Our commitment to quality control extends to a quality range of keg beers that pay compliment to some choice continental and local beers.

The pub’s reputation as 'The home of live music in Shoreham' goes back to at least the early ‘80s and today, it goes from strength to strength. The lineup is eclectic with something for everyone across a busy timetable of weekly, monthly, and seasonal events, including long weekend beer festivals held twice a year.
From Local Legends to Rising Stars
Drawing from a vibrant local music scene and bands from further afield, it has been an honour to platform a superb range of music that reflects our diverse customer base. From the promising young bands of the Shoreham Allstars, to veteran musicians who have been performing since the 70’s ; our legendary sea shanty group ‘the Wellington Wailers’; and, even the occasional celebrity...
